In this paper I’ll be discussing my own art practice as a case in point. The aims are, firstly, to provide a too rare opportunity for an audience to hear and, later, to interact with, someone who is working at the cross roads of contemporary art and Biblical Studies; secondly, to present the work as a particular and tangible illustration of the reception of the Bible in the arts; and, thirdly, to do so using one of the emergent methodologies in field of reception theory – autobiography.

The presentation is, here, in two parts (which does not reflect the divisions of the paper).
